Your Own Test Prep Privileges!!

Yes! If you take action now, you can have the privilege of learning exactly what your strengths and weaknesses are on the SAT and ACT. That’s because there are special services for both tests that give you the information you need to become a better test taker. Here’s the deal:

Three times each year, both ACT and the College Board provide test-takers with an important diagnostic tool. It comes in the form of a copy of the test you took, all of your answers, plus a list of the correct answers to every question on the test.

ACT calls their service the “Test Information Release.” For an additional $19 above the cost of the exam (the exam plus writing alone costs $52.50), you will receive a list of your answers, a copy of the test you took and the writing prompt, the answer key, scoring instructions, and the scores assigned to your essay by two readers. This service is available only for these three test dates during the current school year:

  • December 14, 2013
  • April 12, 2014
  • June 14, 2014

The College Board calls theirs the “Question-and-Answer Service.” You’ll receive a copy of the test you took, the correct answers, and your answers to all 170 questions, including the degree of difficulty of each on a scale of 1 (easier) to 5 (hardest). The cost of the Q&A service is an additional $18 above the exam fee of $51. The College Board provided this service for test-takers for these two remaining test dates during this school year:

  • January 25, 2014
  • May 3, 2014

We recommend registering for to take the SAT and ACT on one of these special dates. You’ll acquire exceptional insight into your testing strengths and weaknesses, giving you a nice boost as you prepare for future tests and chart your course toward college.
