The Bright Futures Scholarship program rewards Florida high school graduates for their academic achievements – and isn’t need-based. Money is available for use at almost all undergraduate schools in the state of Florida.

Other ways to qualify for the Bright Futures Scholarship include earning an International Baccalaureate (IB) or Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) diploma, being a National Merit/National Achievement Finalist or Scholar, or National Hispanic Scholar. Complete details — as well as the application for the Bright Futures Scholarship — are available on the Florida Student Financial Aid website.

All Florida seniors who meet the requirements – or who want to be considered for any State of Florida grants – should register and complete that application.Even if you’re not planning to attend college in Florida, apply for the Bright Futures Scholarship anyway, because if your plans change and you return home to Florida for college, it’s the only way you’ll be able to get the award.

After you submit the application, you should receive email confirmation that also provides instructions for obtaining a USER ID and PIN to access your submitted application, update information on it, check its status, and view notifications online.
